TwitterThe Psychological Therapies Unit

Located in the heart of Liverpool's up and coming Baltic Triangle in the iconic 54 St James Street Building, the Psychological Therapies Unit is a Community Interest Company (CIC) [not for profit] delivering effective treatment for a wide range of psychological conditions. We use a number of psychotherapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help people suffering with depression, anxiety, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, PTSD, in fact the whole range of emotionally based problems. We also work with individuals, families and organisations as mentors, coaches and advisors. We provide medico-legal assessments for personal injury, road traffic collisions, work related difficulties and act as witnesses in court proceedings.

Our organisational work includes Jaguar/Landrover, TUC (several unions), Criminal Records Bureau, many insurance companies (BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, etc.) and are visiting lecturers at University of Chester.

As well as dealing with members of the public we provide a service for the courts and legal process by providing psychological assessments for defendants and post-sentence therapies. We take referrals from any source, including private clients.
